KRRA Twosome Race - it was very chilly
This winter has been pretty chilly. Sunday February 1st was no exception with temperatures hovering -15°C for the Kingston Road Runners' annual Twosome 5K Race. The frigid conditions didn't stop the 112 hearty runners who bundled up and hit Kingston's downtown streets to challenge themselves, their fellow runners and Old Man Winter.
Roads were mostly snow covered thanks to a fresh snowfall only a couple days prior. The skies were very blue and it was a great day for racing.

Not only did they earn gold medals in their age category, they were the "middle of the pack" duo which earned them each a pair of running shoes, courtesy of sponsor Runners' Choice Kingston and Ed scooped an additional draw prize of a free session at Hydrathletics.
The event was complemented with the attendance of three health related sponsors who set up at Winston Churchill PS, providing information, healthy snacks and massages to eager runners. Thanks goes out to Frontenac Chiropractic Sports & Rehab, Elements Natural Therapies and Spa and ACE Nutrition for making the day special.
Kudos to runners who participated in the event. The Twosome made a generous donation to the CNIB. A very special thank you to all the volunteers and particularly to Race Directors Kevin Webster and Cassidy Pilutti.
